Seedball Movement
Greening barren land, one seedball at a time.
Seedballs are a simple, low-cost and powerful way to reforest land that is hard to reach or plant by hand. Our flagship program turns this idea into a youth-led movement.
Why Seedballs
Seedballs protect native seeds inside a ball of soil and compost, shielding them from birds and harsh sun until the rains arrive. They let us re-green hillsides and barren patches without machinery or constant maintenance.
The Process
Every drive follows a simple, repeatable process that anyone can join.
- Collect native seeds suited to the local ecosystem
- Mix clay, compost and seeds, then roll into balls
- Sun-dry the seedballs for a few days
- Disperse across target zones just before the monsoon
Photos
From classrooms to hillsides, our seedball drives bring people of all ages together around a shared, hopeful act.
